I am a teacher who utilizes creativity to assist those whom I teach. I like to assess what it is that draws them in to help with their understanding and proficiency of a subject.
I have a BA in Art with concentrations in Printmaking and Art History. I have spent a year and a half working on becoming certified in Exceptional Student Education and have a particular interest in Reading. I like to use strategies that involve art and poetry to teach the various aspects of reading.
I worked five years with Emotionally Handicapped boys ages 5-7 teaching Life Skills and inspiring them with art, poetry and relaxation skills.
I am tutoring a child this summer and have found it very inspiring, and have decided I want to do more tutoring.
