I have had a passion for Mathematics since my early teen years, which led me to devote most of my energies to it. I am currently finishing my PhD at Columbia, working in Applied Probability with Math Finance. Prior to Columbia, I studied at MIT and had the opportunity to take advanced courses from world class scholars, including one Fields medalist!
During my stay at Columbia, I also developed my skills as a teacher and tutor and have instructed Calculus and Precalculus classes to a small classroom of students.

When I teach elementary stuff, I try to emphasize reasoning and the big ideas, as well as hidden connections between various concepts. Math is never about memorizing stuff!
In my spare time, I enjoy the great outdoors and rock climbing.
