I am a professional music teacher and musician in the Broward and Palm Beach counties in the Florida area. I have extensive experience performing and touring with recording label artists, and I compose and produce music for television. I specialize in teaching piano, guitar and bass guitar with a focus on theory and ear training. I have studied both classical piano, rock, and pop styles. On the guitar I specialize in rock, blues, Rhythm and Blues, and funk styles. I also teach music technology, focusing on the use of digital audio, MIDI, computer composition and music production.

  I have been studying and performing on the bass guitar for 33 years and I am proficient in many styles and genres including rock, pop, reggae, R&B, funk, soul and adult contemporary music among others. I focus on learning the structure of the bass guitar and gaining the finger dexterity needed through scales, drills and various exercises. I teach the function of the bass as an instrument and how to provide a solid foundation in an ensemble. I also focus on music theory and ear training so the student has develops a sound knowledge of the fundamentals of music so that they not only learn to play the instrument but also develop the ability to write songs, compose, and improvise. I also teach students how to read lead sheets and chord symbols as well as standard music notation.

  I am an accomplished composer of 43 years.I have a combination of private study over the years as well as hands on experience. I am proficient at piano/keyboard, guitar, bass guitar, percussion, drums/drum programming etc. I compose, record, and produce music for television and film in my own home studio using a variety of technology. I use a Macintosh computer system with digital audio recording and sequencing software and all the bells and whistles. I can compose and create music using both real and electronic instruments and sounds, (samplers, virtual instruments, software modeling, plug-ins, drum programming/modules, and various hardware sound modules. Some of my past clients have been: ABC TV, History Channel, A&E, (Arts & Entertainment Network), Discovery and the Discovery Home Channels, Nickelodeon Network, and more. I have been creating music for ABC and their in-house music library for over ten years and my music is used regularly on their on-air promo spots. I have scored nearly fifty Biography programs for A&E. I have scored three seasons worth of episodes for the Discovery Channel's home improvement show, "Surprise by Design". I have composed and produced numerous promo spots for the Nickelodeon Network. I have scored various informational documentaries for various cable networks.

  I have been studying and playing the piano for 43 years. I am classically trained and have a thorough knowledge of many styles and genres including rock, pop, R&B, funk, classical, etc. I have toured professionally with Peter Frampton, Taylor Dayne, and the band, Cinderella. I also compose music for television. I compose for ABC, A&E, Discovery Channel and more. I teach piano technique with a strong focus on scales, arpeggios, and dexterity drills. I also focus on music theory so that the student learns how to play the piano and understand the fundamentals of music so that they can not only play but compose, write songs, and improvise. I am very patient with children and strive to keep them interested with beginner tunes that they can learn and play quickly too keep their interest up while also working on the more tedious work, such as scales and drills.
