At the age of 12, I received a 1300/1600 on my SAT (before the score system changed). I went to high school at a math and science academy prep school and graduated as valedictorian. I started college at age 16 and was accepted to attend MIT. I later attended the University of Texas and studied in its Plan II Honors program. I graduated within three years with two degrees. I then attended Lewis and Clark Law School.
I have written and published numerous poems and two fiction novels.
My relevant volunteer and employment history has included:
(1) Tutoring elementary school students in math, science, and writing;
(2) Tutoring university students in writing and proofreading papers for the college writing program;
(3) Teaching html, C++, and Flash at Girlstart in Austin, TX;
(4) Mentoring sixth grade girls on their science projects with a program called Bringing Up Girls in Science (BUGS);
(5) Running an after school program where I watched and tutored between four and twelve students after school and during the summers;
(6) Teaching English in South Korea at Mokwon University for the summer semester; and
(7) Researching and drafting legal letters and memos and updating procurement instructions for the acquisition of intellectual property.
