A harpist, outdoors enthusiast, and a language lover, I hope to attend medical school next year.
I attended Hopkins High School in New Haven, CT. There, I deeply involved myself in the community as student council president, captain of the soccer team, and head of peer education and mentoring. I also worked as a group facilitator on the Adam Krieger Outdoors Course with both children and young adults. Additionally, I tutored 7th grade students in all their subjects. I received the Yale Book Award, and a couple of lesser known community service awards my junior and senior year.
Then, I went on to attend Williams college where I majored in Spanish and International Studies, taking courses in everything from economics to studio art. I tutored English as a second language, taught harp lessons and lead backpacking and camping trips for college, elementary and high school age kids.
After doing a variety of things for the last 2 years, I spent the academic year of 2007-2008 completing all of my premedical credits (Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physics) at Goucher College PBPM and studying for the MCATs.
My teaching style is personal, direct and engaging. I maintain a very structured environment, while being creative with study habits and learning techniques.
