As a tutor, I would like to continue helping people learn foreign languages. I really enjoy teaching and seeing my students begin to grasp a concept in a foreign language as well as master a skill. I have a good rapport with my students and can understand their frustrations in dealing with a subject that's entirely new and strange to them. I motivate them by using creative lessons that encourage them to take risks in the language. I am patient with their struggles and frustrations. I'm good at breaking down grammar points into smaller bits that are easier to understand than trying to grasp the entire concept of something all at once. Many of my students have told me that they understand English grammar better after having had me explain French/Spanish grammar in comparison to it. I enjoy knowing that I've helped my students learn a new and exciting subject, and I will also enjoy doing that as a tutor.
