I have been in Elementary education for 10 years. Receiving my credential in the state of Washington, I then moved to Southern California where I have taught grades 2, 4 5 & 6...but am more than comfortable working with elementary students in ALL grades K-6. I have recently relocated from Pasadena, CA and am anxious to begin working in Education in the Seattle area. Prior to moving back this summer, I was working as the Elementary Literacy Specialist for a mid-size district in Pasadena. Working with teachers to improve their instruction in literacy, I was regularly in classrooms working with students from diverse backgrounds. While literacy is my specialty, I know elementary math, social studies and science. This past May, I graduated from USC with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. |

Having worked in Elementary Education for the past ten years, I have had much experience in working with Elementary age students. I have both WA and CA state teaching crendentials, I have a Masters and Doctorate, both in Educational Leadership. Providing quality learning experiences for ALL students is my passion. My speciality is Literacy (reading and writing), although I am comfortable with all elementary subjects!

Having been the Literacy Specialist for the Pasadena Unified School District, I have a lot of background knowledge in teaching a phonics-based literacy program, as well as phonics in general. In addition to my knowledge of phonics, I also have extensive knowlegde in Phonemic Awareness, Fluency, Vocabulary and Comprehension.
