I have a BS from the US Naval Academy in Engineering and I graduated from the US Navy Nuclear Power School pipeline (three consecutive schools). On the teaching side, I informally tutored my classmates throughout college. I formally tutored at an elementary school while attending college and I was a Nuclear Instructor for the US Navy teaching radiation fundamentals, nuclear physics, and nuclear engineering.
I have an extensive background in math (prealgebra through differential equations), science (biology, physics, chemistry, etc.) and mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering. I also have a significant amount of experience in writing professional reports (grammar and proofreading). I enjoy teaching nuclear radiation just as much as geometry.
I strive to relate every topic to a real-world example to curb the inevitable, "Why am I even trying to learn this?" question that seems to come up pretty often. I like to make lessons fun and interesting (when possible) and am pretty flexible about scheduling.
