Hi!
I have various experiences as a tutor, teacher, and mentor and may be the perfect fit for your needs.
My area of expertise is English, and I am comfortable tutoring in reading, writing, grammar, punctuation, pronunciation, and especially love working with second-language learners.
I have taught English to university students at Colorado State (where I received my BA in English), mentored middle-schoolers who needed organizational assistance and someone to invest in their success, read one-on-one with third graders, and led a book club with elementary students.
I also spent almost a year as a full-time English teacher in South Korea (where I worked with students from age two through adult) and, most recently, as a one-on-one teacher for young students focused on basic math and reading skills.
I am happy to tutor students of all ages and backgrounds. I begin my sessions by assessing the students' needs, goals, and level of study. Open communication between myself and my students will be constant and open.
I strongly believe in positive-reinforcement, am kind and patient, and invest myself fully in each and every student I teach.
