I graduated from National Taiwan University which is one of the best university in Taiwan, and now I am going to the graduate school at UMN this year. Chinese is my first language and I was grown up in Chinese culture. Moreover,I have plenty experience of tutoring as I had been a chinese and mathematic tutor of the seventh~ninth grade student for 3 years in Taiwan. I like to teach my students in vivid way and I also always treat my students with limitless patience, especially when they have questions. I believe that the effective way to learn one language is to practice speaking as often as possible and never be afraid of making mistakes, so I always encourge my students to speak up and teach them over and over again until they really understand the meaning. In 2004, I took the "National University Entrance Test" which is taken by most high school graduate students in Taiwan. In Chinese subject, I got 82. (The average is only 52 in 2004) In 2001, I took the "The Competence Test of Junior High School Students" which is taken by all junior high school graduate students in Taiwan. In Chinese subject, I got perfect score in this test! All of the above show that My Chinese is more excellent that other students' Chinese in Taiwan. Moreover, I have attended many Chinese composition and speech contest since I was 10 year old, and my performance of these contests are also excellent.
