More On Terry's Subjects:

  • drawing

Do you get frustrated because you can't draw something so that it looks how you see it? Do you have trouble drawing faces or human bodies? Would you like to know how to draw something so there is the illusion of dimension and depth? Well first of all, you are not alone. The good news is that there are certain skills and practices that anyone can do to improve their drawing ability. I have been drawing since I was a child (35+ years). I earned a BFA in Fiber Arts, a Master of Arts and certification as a K-12 art teacher. I taught high school art for 2 years including units on: comic book illustration, elements & principles of design. portraiture and perspective drawing. I also have been teaching classes to children and adults in community centers and private settings for 20+ years including children's book illustration and 3-D drawing. I would more than happy to work with you on your drawing skills to help to meet your goals.

  • sewing

I have been sewing since I was 13 in 1970. at that time I was in heaven because my parents bought me a Sears Kenmore Sewing machine for $100. I am still sewing on that machine thus I have learned to do minor repairs and of course I've taken it shops a few times to be repaired. I also own a portable Singer machine which I use at times. For years I bought patterns and sewed clothing for myself and my family. I also have sewn machine stitched, patchwork quilts since I was 15. I used to sell framed patchwork selctions at art fairs. I took private tailoring lessons 20 years ago.
