For the past 5 years, I've been tutoring and teaching prep courses: SAT, TOEFL, ISSE, PSAT, AP HISTORY, PSYCH. LIT. and COLLEGE COUNSELING, helping students gain acceptance to colleges and private high schools of their choice. It's been a a great process with superior results.

Here's how tutoring works with me. I'm one part nurturing psychologist, one part drill sergeant. I tag team with parents and students to help a student break through mental barriers and destructive habits in order to achieve his or her goals.

• Bible studies

  At Oral Roberts University, I took 12 hours of advanced theology courses including: Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Christian Theology and Doctrine. In addition, over the years I have read many commentaries and hermeneutical analysis on various themes and methods of text analysis. You'll find me very knowledgable on scripture and its various interpretations.

• ESL/ESOL

  For the last 5 years I have taught English and other courses at a primarily Korean prep. school. I have tutored many ESL students in English and prepared them for standardized exams, TOEFL, ISEE, SSAT, SAT, etc, and have also helped them with school classes. Two of my particular stand out ESL students were an 8th grade girl (2 years in U.S.) who spent two months with me and was accepted into two prestigious preparatory schools in New York. Another student, a 7th grade boy (less than a week in the U.S.) studied with me for reading and writing and later for the S.A.T. His SAT scores rose from below 400 to 700 in critical reading and writing. He was bright and worked very hard. You'll fine me very realistic but also encouraging. My projections as to how much time and effort are needed to reach specific goals have been very accurate and consistent over the years.   I have a minor in Theater from Oral Roberts University. I possess a thorough knowledge of both theater history and its movements in the U.S. and abroad. I also have experience writing, directing, and producing college theater and community theater. I've also studied various acting techniques at the graduate level and here in Los Angeles. I will be able to answer both your theory and practical business questions.

  In 2000, I graduated with honors from Regent Univeristy's 3 year MA in film/tv production with intensive hands on experience working as: director of photography, editor, director, producer, gaffer, etc. From 2001-2003, I worked as a "shooter/editor" creating original video packages of: news, sports, weekly shows, etc. From 2002-2003, I produced a feature film in Houston, TX which was offered distribution by Block Buster Video. From lighting and editing, to scheduling and budgeting as well as actor coaching, I have considerable professional experience.
