Hello! I hope I'll have the opportunity to work with you, and help your child understand their trouble area(s) a bit better.I am a University of Florida grad with a Master's degree in Elementary Education. That being said, I actually taught 2 years of middle school math. I worked with all types of students--those who were at least 2 years below grade level as well as students who were ahead of grade level. I have not taught in the school system for several years, as I have been coaching gymnastics. However, my state certification has been kept current, just in case I would like to return to the school system in the future.I have been a gymnast for most of my life, I started at 5 years old, and was able to earn a full college scholarship out of it. So, I know what it's like to have a full schedule, even at a young age, and to have difficulty in a subject just makes it that much harder. My greatest asset is that I have worked with children for over 14 years, from ages 5 to 16 primarily. I have coached them in gymnastics, tutored them, and been their mental motivator (both girls and boys). I believe I have the right attitude and background to help almost any student gain the necessary skills to be successful. =o)Take care,Christina
