About Kelly:

I have over twenty years of teaching experience, particularly in the areas of mathematics and language arts. My students have ranged from elementary children to adults attending the University of Phoenix. My approach to instruction is based upon hands-on learning activities, supplemented by traditional skill practice. The former enables students to see the relevancy of their learning and helps them make connections to what they already know. The latter provides the necessary practice required for solid mastery. Together, both foster greater and lasting retention of learned concepts. I consider the "whole child" when I teach. This means that a student's interests, talents, strengths and goals are considered during the planning and implementation of lessons. I currently teach middle school mathematics and language arts. I also serve as a curriculum consultant outside of my school district. I earned my Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University. I earned my Masters Degree from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. I love to teach. The greatest compliment is the number of students and parents over the years who still remain in touch.
