About
Stephanie: |
I am a former Eng. that decided to stay home when my daughter was born. I have been a home schooling MOM for 14 years. Home schooling my children has helped me to learn different learning styles and how important it is to teach to children’s individual need and style. I am also a teach karate through the City of Raleigh Parks and Rec... I teach age’s 3-adult and I have been doing this successfully for about 9 years now. I have also been a contract tutor for the WCPSS for five years, where I go to various Wake County schools to tutor students in reading, writing, phonic, basic math, study skills and ESL students (English as a Second Language). I was also a contract tester for WCPSS. To administer the IPT test for non-native speaking students. Through my experiences with my four children, students in karate and tutoring I have learned a lot. They have shown me that when there is a bond that develops trust and respect between the student and the teacher, whatever the skill or subject, they progress, they excel! I believe that when we give children care, structure, and consistency they learn skills that will follow and help them the rest of their life. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
