basketball
|
I have 24 combined years of experience in basketball, as a player, coach, trainer and teacher. I want to share my experiences with any and all students who want to be the best player and teammate, or even future coach of this wonderful game. One of the best experiences with basketball that I had was coaching my sister's 8th grade "A" basketball team. I was challenged by the 7th grade coach (he had my sister's team last year)...that I would not have a team free throw average higher than 56% (that was their average last year). By the end of the season, our team shot 76% as a team in Free Throws. Freethrows win and lose games!

study skills
|
Since graduating High School in 1987, I had to acquire different tools and skills on how to study for any of my classes that I took in College and beyond. In High School I was a "shy" kid that rarely asked for help, but I did struggle on how to "study" for test. In college, I met people, professors, tutors who helped me learn the life skills of how to study and stay organized for exams, etc. I took those experiences and applied them to my teaching in schools. Through these experiences I gained valuable tools to succeeding and mastering the skill of studying. I want to share these valuable resources with any and all students in need of study skills.

I love to run, whether it be track and field, cross country, mini-marathons, or fun cardio workout...I love it! There are lots of kids out there that are natural runners...with a little coaching/tutoring...you can be the next Flo Jo or Michael Johnson.
