Hi! My name is Grace and I am junior at the University of North Texas. I received my highschool diploma in 2006 from Dallas Christian School. I have always been interested in helping students gain academic confidence, and for this reason I am pursuing a degree in Elementary Education for 4th - 8th grades.
Tutoring has been a part of my life for many years, whether reviewing my friends papers in highschool or helping the children at my church with their homework. For the past year, I have been working professionally as a tutor for my University, tutoring college freshmen in pre-algebra. With each experince I have learned new ways to engage students and explain the most difficult material in the simplest way. When I tutor students, my goal is not only to teach them new skills, but to inspire in them the confidence that they can succeed in even the areas that are most difficult for them. My tutoring sessions are always student-centered, and they are always relaxed and enjoyable. I have never had so much fun and accomplished so much at the same time, and I believe my students would agree!
