Hi my name is Shernay, Im a college student at the Art Institute of Dallas, majoring in Graphic Design, will be receiving my Associates in June 2009,I am very skilled and experienced in the Education department.I have years experience in teaching kids English,Math, Reading, Spanish,Social Behavior development,History and many other related school subjects for children age pre-k to high school.I have also taken these same subjects in school and have excelled and mastered them.I graduated with a 3.8 GPA in High school and was a 3 yr graduate. Attended Texas Wesleyan on an academic scholarship and majored in Kiniesology. I took a lot of anatomy and physiology courses there and excelled in them as well as was placed in a class with mainly upperclassmen and graduate students.While in school I worked at the Boys and Girls Club, where I was a basketball coach, and volleyball coach for the kids 6-15 yrs old. I also was a recreational teacher and would tutor the kids on there homework and grade them, and help them with their study skills and computer skills. When I left Texas Wesleyan, I moved to Washington DC, volunteered at an elementary school there, and was like a substitute teacher for children k-3, I graded their homework, help teach them Math, Reading, English, Social Studies, History and PE and participated in coordinating their history quiz bees.When I left there I got a position at Bidkids as a preschool teacher teaching Bilingual children ages 3-5 Spanish and English and helping them with their social development.Plus I have a strong knowledge of computers, very efficient Excel,Word, Powerpoint,Illustrator,In-Design,BBed it, Photoshops,Drawing,Illustrating.
Plus I have lots of patience and enjoy teaching and helping people better themselves and there education. |
