About Matthew:

I'm an 18-year-old high school graduate originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, now living in Houston. Some notable attributes of my educational career are: I've maintained a B average in Honors and AP English courses since 9th grade, managed a 680 on the English portion of the SAT, and achieved Advanced scores in both Reading and Writing on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment exam. I enjoy working with kids, especially helping them to understand foreign concepts and encouraging them to develop their own opinions about topics. I read and write almost daily so as to keep my intellect sharp and my mental palette broad. I am familiar with nearly all of the English/American literary canon, and have also read a great deal of foreign literature. All of my English teachers have told me that they were extremely impressed by my unique writing style and clear understanding of language.
