About SALLY:

I have experience with children of all ages. Youngsters and teens like me because they know I like and appreciate them. I am fun and I use my sense of humor; I look for creative approaches to learning. I am truly interested in the subjects I choose to teach, and I am an excellent writer--working on a book right now. I am open-minded and in-tune with the issues that today's children and teens face, and I am a very loyal and trustworthy confidant. I love music and the theater, but I am also interested in history and politics. My home and family are very important to me. I have taught special needs children and very bright children as an assistant teacher in public school settings for many years, and also in a Waldorf school. I have done a lot of one-on-one tutoring. My BA is in Liberal Studies with an option in English from Cal State University Hayward; and I also studied at the University of California Berkeley. Presently I am a substitute teacher in the Redlands and the San Bernardino School Districts with a provisional credential, and I am a tutor with Chartwell Learning Center in Redlands.
