About Desiree:

Hi, my name is Desiree and I am bilingual 6th grade teacher. I am well versed in all academic areas at the elementary level and I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English. I teach ELL/ESL students and I am happy to tutor students at any level of Spanish as well as in language arts, vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing.
I graduated with a double major in Liberal Studies (elementary education) and Spanish from San Diego State University and I also completed my bilingual teaching credential at SDSU. While completing my BA I studied abroad for a year in Chile, then after my credential I took classes in Spain to further my Spanish language skills.
Before becoming a teacher I worked in a high school tutoring students in English and Spanish for several years.
As far as my teaching style, I like to be productive and get the work done. Then if there's time, we can play educational games. I definitely believe in rewarding students for hard work.
