Bible studies I have attended the church of Christ my entire life and because of my academic studies in Classics, I now read the New Testament and Septuagint in the original Koine Greek. I taught Sunday school for three to five year olds when I was in high school at the Northside church of Christ in Manteca, CA. In exploring and interpreting the original Koine Greek I bring my knowledge of Greco-Roman antiquity (including Latin) to the table to understand the text and the words therein. Greek I have been taking ancient Greek (including Koine) coming up on six years now. I have earned several awards for my translation ability, including placing 1st (2005) and 3rd (2006) in the Eta Sigma Phi (Greek & Latin honors society) national translation contests for Koine Greek. In addition, I have also taught beginning Greek intensively. As a graduate student in Classics, I am constantly translating and I am comfortable teaching any level or author.
