Hi. My name is Scott. I am in my fourth year of teaching High School Physics and Physical Science. I am also certified in Math, Computer Science and Technology Education. Before teaching, I was a software engineer for a number of large companies, including Bell Labs. I have a degree in Engineering, and a Masters in Computer Science. I also have graduate credits in Teaching. I teach using a Problem Based Learning approach. You will solve real-world problems under my guidance. I use a custom problem solving checklist for science problems. If you're going to take Physics or Physical Science in the Fall, or you're moving to a higher math level, you may want to brush up on your math skills ahead of time. Believe me - this is the main area of problems for my students - they fall behind on the math. Don't let this happen to you. I can teach you the math you need to be successful in your science classes, which is not necessarily the math you are learning in school.
