I am a young graduate of UCLA looking to tutor in any Arabic language subjects, American or world history, writing, philosophy, or anything related to English composition and literature. During my time at UCLA I tutored students on an individual basis, mostly in the Arabic language. I tutored off and on from 2005 to 2007, overall tutoring about 30 different students while freelancing. I prefer to work out an individualized plan for each student based on their current level of proficiency and their goals. However, I can help improve understanding for any of the subjects mentioned above.
I received my AA from College of the Canyons in 2005, where I was valedictorian and graduated with high honors. I then transferred to UCLA, where I received two language scholarships and graduated with a major in history, a double major in Middle Eastern and North African Studies, and a minor in Arabic and Islamic Studies. I can speak French and German relatively well, and am fluent in Arabic and English (my native language). I am currently applying for graduate school in history and I am hoping to continue tutoring with the goal of eventually becoming a university professor. |
