Overall, I am a patient and understanding person. I make sure I communicate with my student to ensure that he or she is achieving the potential desired. I have a variety of creative ways to assist in that process.
I have a B.S. from Northwestern University. I studied a variety of literature and business areas, with a major in Communication Studies. I graduated with Honors and a 3.5 GPA.
My high school GPA was a 4.0. I graduated at the top of my class.
I currently work for an educational company, where I manage schools across the country. Although I focus on business communication, I interact greatly with the adult education teachers regarding the teaching methods and procedures for each course.
Additionally, I work for a non-profit company, where I manage a mentoring program between teenage girls with disabilities and women with disabilities. The focus of my job is on creating programs that facilitates education and discussion among the participants of the program. An example of the program is a hot topic discussion where the participants are required to learn and educate themselves about the topic.
Because of my educational and business experiences, I am quite competent in using frequent computer programs for business and personal uses, such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

I believe that there are a few fundamentals when teaching children in elementary school, such as fractions and letters, but above all, it is necessary that I understand their energy levels, ways of having fun, and methods of best learning. It is just as important for me to bond with the student and learn from him or her. In particular, I make an effort to analyze the needs of the client so I best understand how they learn. Just as I assign homework to my student in a certain subject area, I am required to do my homework as well, so I can cater the learning specificities to meet the needs of my student. In the most basic cases, some students are more visual learners, while others are auditory learners. In more complex cases, students learn best when the subject material is taught as a game as opposed to a lecture.
I have a B.S. in Communication for Northwestern University. I have experience tutoring privately for a variety of different age children. I understand the value of patience and creativity. I am a kid at heart, and I like to in touch with current youth so that I can use “real-world” situations as metaphors when explaining a subject.
Otherwise, I like to keep constant communication with teachers and parents of the student to ensure that the student is meeting all the required goals. I am organized, consistent, persistent, and on time. My availability is mostly in the evenings and weekends.
