Hi! I'm a student at Reed College and a recording / touring songwriter and musician. I have experience working with young children, and after that, working with any age student would be a piece of cake. I taught myself guitar at age 14, and I know the best approach to get you writing your own music and songs after the first lesson, combining technical pointers with the essential theoretical background you need to choose chords. I will work with anyone from absolute beginners to people with more experience. I am truly enthusiastic about bringing music to people with little or no experience. We won't waste a lot of time with the difficult and frustrating task of learning to read formal music; we'll get right to the good stuff. I'm young and fun, great for kids. In addition to being a songwriter, I am a visual artist and a creative writer. If you ever feel inspired to make your own music, but lack the skills and knowledge to bring your vision into being, I'm the perfect tutor for you. |
