About Stacey:

I have a great passion in life for teaching English as a Second Language and Spanish. I first got involved with teaching ESL in 2006 in East Aurora where I taught to a class of Spanish speaking adults through a local church. I loved coming up with the lesson plans each week for class, customizing them to fit the specific needs and learning styles of my students. We always had fun in class through various hands-on activities as well as oral and written exercises. I had the wonderful pleasure of building some life-long friendships with my students through teaching that class. My students always felt comfortable with me, whether the issue at hand was related to the lesson plan or to their personal lives. I also found that my fluency in the Spanish language really helped the students to feel at ease with me and to understand my lessons better.

I also love teaching Spanish to native English speakers. In my Senior year of high school, I became assistant teacher to my Spanish instructor, helping teach her Freshman/Sophmore Spanish class. I loved being able to explain the language to students in a way that they, many times for the first time ever, understood. I really enjoy tutoring people in Spanish and the satisfaction of seeing them begin to learn a new language. I customize my methods of tutoring to whatever way my student happens to learn best.
