About Me:
I have been working with computers since 1992 and have a very good understanding of working within different programs such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, some Excel (as I do not use this regularly, but can get through it), Microsoft Outlook, Search Engines, Computer cleanup,Yahoo, Messenger, Hotmail, downloading programs, files, and more.
I have been in sales for 19 years in the mortgage industry and have a firm understanding of our marketplace in today's current events.I have trained many new associates in sales, processing, account management, marketing, computers and credit reporting. I interact with a wide range of personalities at all organizational levels.
I am also a proud parent of a special needs student (26 yrs old now) and understand how to work with children who have special needs and the time and patience that goes into their development.
I am a patient, considerate teacher and understand that not all children or adults learn the same way. Each has their own way of learning and I find a way to convey the material so each person is capable of understanding it. If I do not know the answer, I will search for it painstakingly, so the client has the answer they seek. I am dedicated and hardworking to the tasks I set before myself, as well as those given me.
I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for reading about me. |

special needs
|
Having a child with special needs can be a very rewarding experience. Children with special needs learn at a different pace than most children in regular schools, and it takes a caring tutor to be able to sit and go over tasks with children in a way in which they will understand. This may take a period of time of reviewing information regularly or it is learned quite easily. It depends on how it is presented. My son learned by "doing," not by just sitting there having someone tell him. He had to feel the experience to understand it. Sometimes he had a better way of doing it than the teacher. But, it was "right" for him. He was not able to sit for long periods of time, so it had to be fun and educational. Sometimes, he finished the work long before the others, due to his understanding of it.
Make it short, fun and to the point, and he could grasp it. I am aware that all children/adults learn differently, and can devote my attention to them for as long as they need.
