About Shayla:

I am a recent graduate of Wellesley College, currently pursuing a Masters of Art in Teaching at Duke University. I have extensive experience teaching students, in a variety of subject areas including SAT preparation, English, Vocabulary, History and Writing. I am also proficient in Spanish as I have taught students in Costa Rica and Mexico for the past three summers. As an instructor, I am very inclusive. I teach using student centered learning techniques which encourage student choice and advocacy within the lesson. I have experience in lesson planing and creation and I can create a plan to suit the student's particular needs.
