ESL/ESOL I hold an elementary teaching credential. I have 22 years of experience teaching elementary school children. I also hold a bi-lingual teaching credential(Spanish). A large percent of my teaching day was spent teaching Spanish reading and English as a second language to children that needed to improve their written,reading and oral language skills. I placed a special emphasis on attempting to make the language learning process interesting and entertaining. I feel that I am highly qualified to teach this subject area. In my classroom I used various techniques such as puppetry, role-playing,singing,poetry, and other methods to inspire my students. Most of my Kindergarten students entered my class unable to speak much English and left Kindergarten with a high oral proficiency level.
