Chinese Born in China, I lived in Chengdu until the age of six. As a result, my pronunciation and grammar are very proper. I attended Chinese school on Saturdays throughout my adolescent years, learning additional vocabulary and advanced grammatical rules. During my 4 years at high school, I continued to take Chinese classes, and scored a 6 on my IB Chinese test. In addition, I recently tested proficient in Chinese at UCSD for my foreign language requirement. statistics During my senior year at Mira Loma, I was introduced to the basics of statistics as a requirement for my IB Mathematics 2 test. We covered the basic essentials, including hypothesis testing, probability, z-scores, and distributions. I also completed a statistics course during Spring Quarter which taught normal, Poisson, and exponential distributions, estimation, z-, t-, and paired mean hypothesis tests, linear regression, and confidence intervals. In addition, we analyzed real-life sets of data using Minitab software as our laboratory instruction. I am happy to report that I received an A in both high school and college classes, and an A+ in the lab taken at UCSD.
