About Adriana:

I am a medical doctor. I graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a DO degree in 2005, but I am not currently practicing medicine. I completed my undergraduate education at Cal Poly Pomona, where I was the Valedictorian for the college of Science in the year 2001. I am presently working on a masters degree in Public Health with a major in Health Promotion and Education at Loma Linda University. I am 47 years old and I have the skills necessary to be an excellent tutor. I have tutored many high school students and references are available upon request. In addition to my extensive education, I passed the CBEST, an exam required from all teachers, and I also passed the CSET for Biology (test to demonstrate subject competency for Biology).
I like to teach using power points and I make those available to the students. I also instruct in study skills, which helps students to study accurately and efficiently. I am very patient and do not rush through lessons. I am easy going and I have a good sense of humor.

More On Adriana's Subjects:

  • physiology

I am well qualified to teach this subject. I completed my undergraduate education in Microbiology at Cal Poly Pomona in 2001. In the same year I was accepted to Medical School at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. I became an Osteopathic Physician in the year 2005. As a microbiologist and a physician, I have ample knowledge of physiology and I would like to teach this subject at high school and undergraduate level.
