• composition (music)

  As a composer and arranger my work has been premiered by the Purchase Latin Jazz Orchestra, the Tennessee Technological University Jazz Ensemble, as well as various New York based performing ensembles. I have also written music for small jazz ensembles as well a brass ensembles.

• ear training

  Having a well trained ear is vital to any musician. I have studied ear training very intensely with some of the most qualified instructors in my field. From classical to jazz, I have worked very hard to train my ear to identify specific pitches, recognize chord qualities, determine pitch intervals, and to hear pitch intonation.

• sight singing

  As a professional musician, it is a requirement that I have the skills to read a piece of music accurately the first time seeing it. This skill comes from years of sight singing training. As an undergraduate I studied sight singing with many top level educators in the music field.

• trumpet

  I have been playing the trumpet for over fifteen years. During that time I have had the privilege of studying with some of the best teachers/educators in my field. Some of my credentials include performing 1st trumpet on the national tour of the musical Peter Pan, performing as lead and solo trumpet for Celebrity/Royal Caribbean cruise lines, and performing at special functions and events for celebrities such as Donald Trump and numerous New York State congressmen and senators. I have also taught privately for over eight years to students of all ages and levels.
