About
Dharshini: |
|
I am a NJIT graduate, who majored in Biology with the plan of starting a career in medicine. My plan is to attend Medical School following fall, after I complete my research.
Throughout college I managed to study the sciences, run track, and tutor my classmates and teammates in science and computer related subjects. So, as you can see I am very dedicated. I have also had the opportunity to worked with mentally handicapped children previously when I attend a private school in India.
My tutoring method is as such:
I address the issue with the parent. Then, I discuss the same problem with the child giving him/her an input in the situation. By doing this it enables me to address if it is a confidence problem based on the child not knowing the material. Or, if it is the overall result of your child's method of studying.
I have have taught many home schoolin and college students in science, math, and aided them in writing English papers. This experience has allowed me to configure a style of teaching that suits all even if they needed a little more attention.
To the student:
I don't mind spending as much time as it takes to make you thorough. I also provide tests when available to quiz yourself outside of the normal classroom. I promise to create a fun and hard-working environment that you will enjoy. And, also to help you achieve the grades that will make you satisfied and proud of your own hard work.
Thank you. Take care. |

statistics
|
I have taken probablity and statistics as a course in NJIT. Though it was a optional part of my biology major, I worked exceptionally hard to earn a grade that allowed me to work as a tutor for my peers. I also find that the application of statistics frequently arises in my research at UMDNJ. I am very familiar with z, t, and chi-tables. And, can easily explain hypothesis testing. I also have knowledge of stem-and-leaf display; calculation of probablitiy, sample mean, upper and lower forth, and std. deviation. I can also provide you with a few practice exam followed by explanation of the material.
Understanding probability & statistics is important for many career is in science especially when working with research and testing of patients. And, occasionally it is just a course in college which we would like to ace. I can help you do both with my knowledge of this course. So, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you.

Student Reviews:
Patient and kind
Dharshini was an absolute sweetheart. She had a big smile on her face from the minute she entered my home. She was a slight bit nervous in the beginning, but that did not affect her teaching skills one bit, and I wouldn't have known it if she didn't mention it to me.
I thought she explained the work very well, and I in turn could absorb it and put it to use immediately. I finished my homework problems on my own - quite confidently - after she left. I look forward to our next session.
