About Lucinda:

I have worked for nearly years as a professional writer and communicator. I am a volunteer tutor at Project Finish, a program sponsored by Johnson County Community College to help participants get their GEDs. I was recently honored for volunteering 100 hours teaching area students. I have an undergraduate degree in journalism, a Master's in organizational communications and an MBA in business. My college professors voted me the "Woman Most Likely to Succeed in the Field of Writing." Early in my career I wrote a hard-back book, Service Since 1901--A History of United Telephone. I have been a volunteer tutor for Project Finish, a program sponsored by Johnson County Community College that helps students attain a GED. I was recently among the tutors honored for volunteering more than 100 hours in a five month period. My specialty is helping students with the essay portions of the GED since I am a professional writer with move than 30 years of experience in writing. I also specialize in reading, grammar and social studies. I am an avid reader and have helped many students who struggle with the poetry and literature sections of the exam.
