About Paolo:

Hi, my name is Paolo, I am an Italian Filmmaker that moved to San Francisco in 2005 because of his lovely Californian wife.

Italian is, of course, my first language and thanks to my high school education (Liceo Scientifico) and professional experience I have excellent skills in both writing and speaking.

After I quit the Economics studies, I have been working for more than twelve years in the film industry on different departments.

I am now a professional Assistant Director and Director and I started my American career with a couple of short movies and three feature films.

Since my wife is expecting our second child, I would like to take a break and spend more time with my family.

It's a great chance for me to come back to Tutoring and thus share my passion for the Italian language and the Seventh Art with students eager to learn.

If you want to finally understand Andrea Bocelli's lyrics or become the next Federico Fellini, I am your man!

More On Paolo's Subjects:

  • video production

I am a professional Assistant Director waiting for the chance to shoot his own film. After I quit the Economics studies I started my "adventure" by attending Film Schools in Florence and Genoa for four years, and working in Television. I have a Camera Operator Diploma (1995 - Accademia Europea di Firenze), Editing Diploma (1997 - Scuola d'Arte Cinematografica, Genova) and a Directing Diploma (1998-99 Scuola d'Arte Cinematografica, Genova) that prepared me to start working at a professional level. Since then, I have been steadily working in the Film and Commercial Industry in many different positions to constantly improve my experience. In the last years, I focused on Location Management and Assistant Director roles that allowed me to work with great professionals on a variety of projects raging from independent/studio films, short films, one hour dramas, docu-fictions, music videos and commercials. Since I got my green card, in November 2006, I worked on two shorts and three feature films in the San Francisco area. Contact me if you want to learn the real tricks & tips from a professional with more than twelve years of experience.
