I am a student at Pitzer College in Southern California. I am a major in media and film studies, specializing in film theory and politics, which involves a lot of analysis and critical thought. Along with classes for my major, I also study economics, languages and art (specifically web and graphic design). I graduated from high school with honors with higher than a 4.0 GPA (a 5.0 is rewarded to As in AP classes), and there I studied everything from maths and sciences to various liberal arts.
During high school, I tutored various subjects at Robert Gray Middle School for the Portland School District.
I just returned from studying abroad in Italy in a cultural immersion program. While there, I lived with an Italian family and took 2.5 hours of Italian every morning. We also studied art history, religion, Italian politics, etc from a first-hand look. I also attended a graphic design class at the Toschi Art Institute.
I am also an avid horseback rider; I began riding and competing when I was about eleven years old, and now while I'm at school I ride for the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.
I'm fairly well-rounded in a variety of subject areas, and I have experience tutoring students and working with children (one of my host sisters in Italy was just two years old). I'm happy to meet knew students and to help as much as I can!
