About Andrea:

I am a certified K-8 teacher with a reading endorsement. In addition, I am currently working on a Masters in Elementary Education. I have recently left classroom teaching in order to home school my children. I love teaching and will miss the classroom but hope to bring my knowledge to the community. Parents have often requested me for their other children due to my teaching style. I believe learning can be fun and that is reflected in my teaching style. My philosphy is that teaching is not about rote memorization and skill acquisition but about teaching students how to learn. When you know how to learn, skill acquisition will follow.
