Hi. I work as a corporate instructor for a major insurance agency. I train basic computer skills and Microsoft Office Pro among other subjects. My main clients are adults, but I have also tutored high school students for GED testing and creative writing. I have worked with the Graffiti Teen Center in Stillwater, and act as a mentor/coach for new employees within my department. I believe that learning should be fun as well as interesting, so I work hard to find new and varied ways to approach subjects in the classroom as well as in a tutoring session. |

I have been training general computer skills for six plus years. The basics include sign on - sign off, organizing and managing files, using tutorials and help functions, how to access the internet, set up passwords and user accounts, downloading files and applications, performing searches. Some fun stuff - customizing backgrounds, screensavers, burning cds, dvds, saving downloaded files, pictures,etc. I am proficient in Microsoft XP and Vista. I generally interview those I tutor to discover their learning needs, and create learning plans based on how they will be using their computers.
