I have been a teacher's assistant from preschool through elementary school. I have tutored middle school and high school students. Students learn differently some are visual, some on hands-on, others prefer trial-and-error and some people use a combination learning style. There are methods for teaching/tutoring each of these learning styles and I adapt to the student. I have recently graduated from the University of Phoeniz, Renton Campass with my B.S. in Human Services/Mgt. This is a degree for an entry-level counselor and social worker. I plan to use this as a stepping stone to attend the Masters-in-Teaching program at Seattle University in March, 2009. I believe that every teacher needs some background in counseling.
