I was a teacher for several years, with experience ranging from preschool to sixth grade. I recently chose to become a stay-at-home mom after the birth of my third child. I have tutored many students over the years, both as a student at Hanover College and for students who were struggling at the school at which I formerly taught. I focus primarily on Language Arts, including writing skills, grammar, proofreading, and vocabulary, as well as reading comprehension skills. I am experienced in helping students prepare for standardized tests as well. |

I have a degree in Elementary Education from Hanover College. I taught third grade for one year and 6th grade for four years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. I have experience teaching all subject areas related to the elementary grades.

I taught grammar to third graders for one year and sixth graders for four years. I am experienced with all parts of speech, as well as rules of punctuation and capitalization.

Part of my duties included teaching Language Arts, which involved the proofreading of many writing activities. I am proficient in leading students in proofreading activities for all types of writing (narrative, expository, persuasive, research based, etc.).
