Learn More About Claire's Experience:

elementary (k-6th) I have been tutoring elementary school students for the past 15 years in a variety of subject matter, such as; reading, literacy, spelling, vocabulary expansion, math and Spanish. I have student taught through college in grades 1-5 and currently am an elementary Spanish teacher for a local elementary school. Aside from my teaching I tutor after school with remedial reading students and high school spanish students. phonics Currently, I am attending Grad school for Literacy from Birth through Grade 6. Since this is my program of study, I consider myself to be very knowledgeable in the ways of phonics instruction. I work with remedial readers througout the school year and phonics is typically the key to help them with their reading difficulties. I have had extensive time to work with phonics instruction and and working on becomming certified by New York State in this subject matter.
