About Claudia:

Until this past September, I was a neuroscientist at the Boston University School of Medicine in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology studying autism using a variety of methods (MRI, immunocytochemistry, autoradiography, etc). I have a bachelor's degree in Biology, specializing in Neuroscience, and a minor in Classical Civilizations from Boston University. I also have 3 successful years of research experience behind me. During college and high school I tutored in a range of subjects from Mathematics (everything through multivariate calculus) and the physical sciences (biology, physiology, physics and chemistry) to writing. I am also a proficient computer user and know many operating systems and software packages (Microsoft Office, Corel Office, Adobe Photoshop, Powerpoint, etc), as well as how to program in C and C++. I am very good at standardized tests, and can tutor in the GRE or SAT. I am now enrolled in graduate school in the Philosophy of Religion at the University of Chicago. My primary interests lie in bridging the humanities with the sciences, specifically in the space where Buddhist philosophy and psychology meet. I am also well versed in philosophy, history and literature, and I love teaching. One day soon I hope to become a professor. My teaching style tends to be clear, straightforward and fun since I like to use humor where I can.
