I am an architect, illustrator, and writer who loves to help others improve their work and meet their goals. For the last two years I have helped other professionals learn Photoshop, 3-D computer modeling and AutoCad skills. I recently moved to the inner SE area of Portland to work as a freelancer and write fiction.

I excelled in my high school classes and on the SAT, and received a 5 on the Spanish and English AP Exams. I have a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, lots of travel experience, and lots of motivation.

I have been editing and improving academic papers since I was very young; nothing makes me happier than a project or paper that is complete and excellent. I have a passion for the written word and creative writing, as well as literary analysis; if you need help writing an English paper, I can help you make it clear and concise. I am a professional architectural designer and illustrator, so I'm comfortable with design, critique, CAD, freehand and constructed drawing, and much more. I have designed several professional websites using HTML and Photoshop. I also speak Spanish and love to practice through travel and with other learners.

  As an architecture major, I studied perspective drawing at the college level and would be glad to teach you how to accurately portray buildings and other objects in perspective. I have studied watercolor and marker techniques as well architectural drafting (plan/elevation projections and axonometrics) in pencil and pen in both college and independent courses. I believe each artist must develop an individual style, but that the understanding of perspective techniques is a strong foundation to build upon for every visual artist.

  HTML requires an understanding of simple computer commands, an attention to detail, the ability to proofread code, and the vision to connect text code to a visual product (the final page). I studied HTML and design at a university level for two semesters during my architectural degree, and have designed and posted several professional web sites, for individuals and companies. I'm a good troubleshooter and am continually learning new code as it is developed. Because I also am comfortable with photoshop, typography, and design, I can help you visualize a page from code, and vice-versa. Every project is unique, but in the end, it comes down to HTML. If your code fails, your site fails, so it's important to understand what you want and how you want to code it. I hope to help introduce you to HTML and web design.

  Photoshop is a powerful tool that can be applied to all kinds of visual projects. I studied Photoshop formally for two semesters during my architectural degree, and have used it consistently for the last seven years to create architectural illustrations, posters, graphics, websites, and to edit personal photos for quality. Photoshop is a wonderfully flexible software with many hidden tools. If you want to learn basic photoshop techniques, filters, layers, tiling patterns, file reduction techniques, or just need help on a specific project, I can help.

  I have been proofreading and editing academic papers and fiction since I was a teenager and helped my mother get an advanced degree. As a creative writer, I am a stickler for clarity, brevity, grammar, and punctuation. If you need help writing an "A" paper for a literature class, reorganizing an academic report, or making sure your writing makes sense, I can help. I have experience proofreading work from many disciplines, including chemistry, psychology, art, and literature, poetry and fiction, web copy, and promotional materials. I especially enjoy working closely with writers to ensure that their meaning is clear and their voice is unique.
