About Jessica:

Hi! My name is Jessica Sutton and I am a recent graduate from Eastern Michigan University with a BA in History and Geography. I am currently awaiting my State of Michigan Certification, which is pending and will be processed once my CPR/First Aid certification has been received. I completed my student teaching experience at Seitz Middle School in Riverview, MI, where i taught a seventh grade Geography class and an eighth grade American History class. My teaching style is slightly laid back, as I feel student learn better when they are more comfortable expressing ideas and asking questions. I feel that no question is too insignificant, as long as the question deals with the subject at hand. In order to comprehend a lesson, concept or idea, it is important to ask questions. Very few people understand something the first time it is explained and I feel it is important to truly address the misconceptions or misunderstandings about a subject when they arise, so the concept is firmly grasped from the get-go.
