I am a jack of all trades. I have worked as a special education instructor, high school social studies teacher, homebound instructor in all grades, private tutor, Challenger Learning Center Associate Flight Director, and now I teach in Adult Education. I have experience in teaching Kindergarten through 87-year-olds, and I can teach in any subject area. I have taught ESL students in a regular classroom and as an adult educator. My strengths are in effective communication skills, both verbal and written. I can also teach higher level math; such as, algebra and geometry.
I graduated from Murray State University with a B.S. in political science/history, returned later to complete the Teacher Ed Program, and now I am working toward a Master's Degree in Special Education.
I am a hands-on teacher who prefers to act as a facilitator rather than a lecturer. I want the students to teach each other and themselves by developing and using critical thinking skills to evaluate information. I am fun, energetic, and students love me because I am understanding and non-judgemental.
