About Vanessa:

Hello My name is Vanessa. I'm currently a student at Columbus State Community College. I am working on earning my Associates Degree and then transferring to a 4 year university Fall of 09'. I think what makes me a great candidate is that I have been a student who has failed in the past. I understand the procrastinator's mentality as well as ways to improve bad study habits, time management etc. This is all coming from personal experience...not just force fed applications. I also understand that everyone has a different way of learning. So, I'm going to try my hardest to find ways that help you learn. I haven't had any tutoring experience except the knowledge of leading myself through failures and successes in high school and college. I currently hold a 3.0 at CSCC, and plan to improve that over the next year. I'm also involved in the Student Ambassador Leadership Program through school as well. I've had experience in just about any course but I find my strongest subjects are English, Writing, Reading, and Art. I also enjoy working with younger students(K-6)as well as older students. Overall, I enjoy giving students the opportunity to succeed in something they wouldn't otherwise do well in.
