My name is Paul. I am currently enrolled at San Jose State University majoring in Economics and also minoring in Business. I graduated in the top 15 percent of my class in high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.6. I started tutoring my younger cousins when I was a Junior in high school and I fell in love doing it so I volunteered with various clubs in high school that tutors younger students. I took a break from tutoring after graduating from high school because I wanted to focus on my Freshman year of college. After settling myself in college I started volunteering again and just last year I volunteered with Cesar Chavez Community Action Center that tutors children at a nearby middle school. Finally, I was employed by AmeriCorps Bridging Borders during the past school year to tutor children at neighboring schools. I have high standards when tutoring younger students and I do that by first identifying the root of the problem and working on from there. The pace of my tutoring is based upon on the student. Lastly, I like to make things as easy as possible for the students by doing things in steps.
