About Juanita:

I am a retired college English Professor. I taught English, literature, speech, Reading, and study skills for 35 years. I also Coordinated a school-wide Reading lab at the high school level. I was elected English Dept. Chairperson by my peers for 3 years before retiring in 2002. Since, 2005, I have been the Research Associate at a local university on a part-time basis. I have tutored students in all of the above subjects as well as coordinated a tutoring center at the college level for six years. My teaching/tutoring style is student-centered; I believe in facilitating learning rather than spoon-feeding it.
