About Sean:

I am a sophomore at the University of Iowa majoring in Japanese and minoring in Computer Science. I started out as a freshman in the second year Japanese class and received a 98% in the class. I have been an honors student through high school and into college. I have taken advanced math classes and currently have taken through Calculus II. English has always been one of my strong points. I have many friends in Japan who are studying English that I have helped and they tell me I'm a very good teacher for learning English. I spend a lot of my free time with friends, listening to music, playing video games, and doing things related to Japanese culture. When it comes to teaching, I examine all different ways of explaining things until I find the one thing that clicks with the pupil I am engaging with. I try my best to be enthusiastic and make learning a fun experience.
